Viridor Mersey Basin Week
STOP PRESS: This year's Viridor Mersey Basin Week will be taking place between Friday 2nd and Sunday 11th October. The event registration form is now online (on the right of this page), so download it, fill it in, and be part of the week!
Last year’s Mersey Basin Week took place between Friday October 3rd and Sunday October 12th 2008. The week is an annual event that encourages people to get involved with practical activities and events on and around the watercourses of the Mersey and Ribble basins.
2008's event was a huge success, with over 5000 people taking part in more than 280 events. We’d like to make this year’s Viridor Mersey Basin Week even bigger and better than ever. Events will range from clean-ups to guided walks, and from wildlife surveys to art and craft projects.
If you or your organisation would like to register an event for 2009, please download and complete the registration form on the right of this page and email it to b.mitchell@merseybasin.org.uk.

Small grants are available from our sponsors Viridor to help meet the cost of your event. You can apply for up to ₤100 to pay for items such as skip hire, refreshments, and volunteer transport. If you'd like to apply for a grant, please complete the information on the reverse of the registration form.
