The Port of Liverpool, located on the mouth of the great River Mersey is the largest working dock in the Northwest and the most efficient in the country. It handles more UK, non-EU and container traffic than any of the ports on the east coast and exports more scrap metal to be reused and recycled, than anywhere else in the UK.
